About the Journal
The European Journal of Medicine and Translational Biosciences (EJMTB) is an international, peer-reviewed, Diamond Open Access scientific journal published by Western Balkans University (WBU). The journal publishes two issues per year.
EJMTB is designed to support scientific excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, research integrity, and the international visibility of scholarly work in medicine, translational science, public health, healthcare innovation, and related biomedical disciplines.
Mission
The journal provides a high-quality, peer-reviewed academic platform for research, policy analysis, and scholarly debate in health systems, biomedical sciences, translational science, pharmaceutical policy, public health, and healthcare innovation. It promotes scientific integrity, international collaboration, open science, interdisciplinary research, and evidence-informed decision-making.
Aims & Objectives
- Promote high-quality scientific research in medicine, pharmacy, public health, translational science, and healthcare innovation.
- Strengthen the visibility of scientific research from Albania, the Western Balkans, and international academic partners.
- Support evidence-informed healthcare policy and practice.
- Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration between academia, healthcare institutions, industry, and policymakers.
- Uphold the highest standards of publication ethics and transparency, following the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

EJMTB fully supports Diamond Open Access publishing. All articles are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, with no submission or publication fees charged to authors and no subscription fees charged to readers. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), and authors retain copyright of their work.
