Submission Preparation Checklist

  • The submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript file is in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx), OpenOffice, or Rich Text Format (RTF).
  • All references cited in the text are included in the reference list, with DOIs/URLs where available.
  • The manuscript follows the journal’s formatting and referencing guidelines.
  • Ethical approval and informed consent statements are included where applicable.
  • Conflict of interest, funding, and author contribution statements are provided.
  • A data availability statement is included where relevant.
  • Tables and figures are embedded appropriately within the manuscript.

Manuscript Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
  • Line spacing: single-spaced
  • Margins: 2.54 cm (1 inch) on all sides
  • Page numbering: required
  • Alignment: justified
  • Language: English (American or British spelling, used consistently)

Manuscript Structure

Title Page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (if applicable), Funding Statement, Conflict of Interest Statement, Author Contributions, Data Availability Statement, References, and Tables and Figures.

Abstract & Keywords

The abstract (150–250 words) should summarise the background, objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions. Provide 3–6 keywords immediately following the abstract.

Article Length

  • Original Research Articles: 3,000–8,000 words
  • Reviews and Policy Papers: up to 9,000 words
  • Commentaries and Short Communications: 1,000–3,000 words

Word counts exclude references, tables, and figures.

Figures & Tables

Figures and tables must be embedded near their first citation, with descriptive captions. Figures should be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi) in TIFF, JPEG, or PNG. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted materials.

References

The journal follows the Vancouver referencing style. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references; include DOIs and URLs where available.
